Skeletons

Our full-scale skeletons offer guests a striking visual display of the bone structure needed to support the hulking weight of each dinosaur.

On display amongst life-size animatronic dinosaurs and fossils, the Dinosaurs Unearthed exclusive collection of Jurassic skeletons from the Dashanpu Quarry site depicts species from the land, air and sea; from the long sauropod Mamenchisaurus, to the fragile bones of the pterosaur Angustinaripterus and the graceful swimming Bishanopliosaurus.

Mamenchisaurus

The largest skeleton in our collection – Mamenchisaurus – is 65 ft in length, half of which is comprised by its neck alone. This sauropod dinosaur from the late Jurassic Period was first discovered on a construction site of the Yitang Highway in Sichuan, China in 1952.
