MASON — The shade at the waiting area for Kings Island’s log flume ride should have been a welcome cool down on a 90 degree day for Kyra Carter, but the 10-year-old could barely contain her patience as she waited her turn for one of the park’s most cherished rides.
Kyra, who lives in Centerville, was confined to a wheelchair because she had cerebral palsy, but that was not about to stop her from enjoying the thrilling drop and shocking splash of the log flume.
KINGS ISLAND, Ohio – Visitors to Kings Island will have an opportunity to step back in time to periods between 245 million to 65 million years ago when the world’s largest animatronic dinosaur park debuts May 26, 2011. More than 60 life-sized dinosaurs will be on display in Dinosaurs Alive! at Kings Island, including 56 animatronic models, in a spectacular outdoor Jurassic forest setting.
The multi-sensory and interactive dinosaur park brings inspiration, science and technology together at Kings Island where guests will also hear the sounds and see the movements of 60-plus full-sized animatronic creations made to replicate nearly every feature of the dinosaurs. Each of the animatronic dinosaurs is hand-carved and covered with skin-like materials.
HONOLULU—Dinosaurs Unearthed: Feathered Discoveries, a multi-sensory, interactive exhibit, is stomping into Honolulu from Mar. 5 to Sept. 5, 2011 at the Bishop Museum. The entertaining and educational exhibit features more than a dozen full-sized moving and roaring animatronic dinosaurs.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Union Station officials announce the extension of the special exhibition Dinosaurs Unearthed. After surpassing attendance goals over the summer, negotiations with the exhibit company were made to keep the dinosaurs in Kansas City through the holidays until January 9, 2011.
By LISA CORNWELL (AP) – CINCINNATI — Dinosaur fossils, including a rib more than 9 feet long from a species of the long-necked titanosaur family, are making their North American debut Friday at a Cincinnati museum.
Vancouver, BC – A group of 9 people from Bureau of Land and Resources of Henan Province and Henan Museum, arrived in Vancouver, to kick off their 12 day visit to North America. The head of this group, Li, ZhiMing, who is Vice Direct-General of Bureau of Land and Resources of Henan Province, commented that the purpose of this visit is to exchange academic research on dinosaur fossil research and excavation. The group will also be attending a dinosaur fossil exhibition to be held at the end of August in the U.S.A.
